Alex Martinez
Alex began his career in the litigation support industry in 1991. In 2003, his company Sherman, Alexander & Associates was acquired by First Legal, and he was appointed CEO in 2005. Under Alex’s leadership, First Legal has grown from a small, local attorney service company, to what it is today – the nation’s largest Litigation Support Service provider File Thru Trial™. His focus on treating employees and clients as family has led not only to a unique, positive corporate culture but also to a company with strong customer service and industry relationships. He holds a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles and currently lives in Corona with his six kids and their two dogs, Gia and Abby. He is a board member of the St. James Inn and enjoys golf and traveling.
Darin Marinov
Darin has held various senior and executive-level positions with public and private companies, prior to joining First Legal, and he brings more than 20 years of experience in the area of finance, with an extensive background in accounting, treasury, and financial reporting. Darin is a member of the Cedars-Siani Medical Center Board of Governors, as well as a Board member of the Rotary Club of Los Angeles, and the San Fernando Valley Community Mental Health Center. He is also a member of the Navy League of the United States. Darin lives in Beverly Hills, California with his wife and three children and in his free time enjoys photography and motorcycle racing.
Don Hoefnagel
Don has been with First Legal Depositions for 20 years and now serves as the Executive Vice President of Business Development. His high level of client-vendor interface ensures that First Legal Depositions is up to date and responsive to all client needs. He credits his dedication to the company to the fantastic client relationships First Legal Depositions seeks to foster. On a day to day basis, Don works to ensure that we evaluate and integrate new strategic partnerships and state-of-the-art technology. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business from Biola University and is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators and Provisors LA3. He enjoys reading and playing tennis and lives in Lakewood, California with his wife, Maggie, and their Bichon Frise, Buddy, and two cats.
Gia Magliulo
Gia’s career spans over 25 years in the litigation support industry. Throughout her career, Gia has worked to build a high-performing sales team that is fully equipped to meet and surpass client expectations. As the Executive Vice President of Sales, she enjoys motivating her co-workers and clients to be the best they can be. Gia consistently works to grow the First Legal Depositions family, outlining the benefits of our depositions services and inspiring those around her with her strategic insight. She has been with First Legal Depositions for more than three years and holds a degree in International Business Management from the United States International University. She lives in Encinitas, California where she enjoys hiking with her Frenchie named Frankie and showing off her Tae Kwon Do skills.
